What
is Relay for Life and how can I help?
Relay for Life
is a fun, team based, overnight event sponsored by the
American Cancer Society. It is a family-friendly
event that helps raise funds for cancer research.
Our Team Goal is $3,000. As of June 2, we
were at 88% of our goal, with a total of $2,653 raised
to date. Help us meet and exceed our goal by going
to
www.relayforlife.org/hudson to donate online.
How can I support the
event?
Grab your family and just show up. Attached is a
listing of all the activities, and there are a lot.
You can walk around the track with your family,
participate in a 5K, listen to music, visit with
neighboring teams, watch fireworks, experience the track
being surrounded by luminaries in honor of or in memory
of loved ones.
What should I bring?
Bring a jacket if you are coming in the evening or
sunblock during the day. Bring a chair if you want
to sit and watch. Bring cash because several teams
will be selling items like food, crafts, drinks,
tattoos, massages, trinkets, etc. to raise funds for the
day. Just bring yourself and have fun.
What is Hudson
Newcomers' role in this?
We have partnered with Hudson Preschool Parents to
organize our own team. We will have our own tent
and are raising our own funds to go toward our $3,000
team goal.
Who should I contact
if I would like more information?
Kimberly Cartella, our Community Service coordinator,
at
communityservice@hudsonnewcomers.org
What else can I do
to help?
Donate to our team online at
www.relayforlife.org/hudson. Our official team
is Hudson Preschool Parents/Hudson Newcomers.
