Learned Owl Is
More Than Shop Around The Corner

Step into The Learned Owl Book Shop and you will find more
than just a little shop around the corner. At
first glance you are drawn to this quaint book store with a
small-town charm, but once inside, you will realize
that it is much more than that.. The Learned Owl Book Shop,
established in 1968 originally occupied a small 300 square
foot - one floor section of this 1867 building that sits on
Main Street in downtown Hudson. Today it has
grown to a three-floor book shop that uses every nook
and cranny of the 2300 square- foot historic building
to hold books, greeting cards, stationery and of course
Maggie the 8 year old Golden Retriever and Bookshop Dog who
regularly greets customers.
Once one of thirty-five independent bookstores in northeast
Ohio. The Learned Owl is now one of only five that still
remain. Current owner Liz Murphy has owned the store
for 21 years and offers books on all subjects for all ages.
Books not found on the shelves can usually be ordered and
received within a few days. The book-smart staff who
are ready, willing and able to help you find exactly what
you are looking for, can also special order any book, in or
out of print.. The shop also carries a wide variety of
greeting cards for all occasions, boxed stationery including
Crane's, and an expanding line of Caspari paper plates and
napkins. You can find information about upcoming
events on their website at
www.learnedowl.com.
don't forget to sign up to received monthly newsletters via
